Opened on the 20th of October in 2015, as part of the city’s 145th anniversary commemoration ceremony, this Welcome Center is a must-stop location for tourists in the city of Covilhã. This futuristic looking building is a new multimedia tourist service center at the main entrance of Covilhã, with a large multimedia installation comprising a total of 9 interactive apps, providing visitors with a unique perspective on the main highlights of this region.
Designed and created by inKlusion in partnership with architects Joana Carvalho and Marco Santos, the total area is divided into four distinct spaces, which lead the visitors through various cultural experiences, where they can learn about the city’s history, culture and modern day living. Each of these interior spaces is carefully designed according to the brand and in harmony with the physical space, providing a clean and relaxing space for users to enjoy the multimedia experiences.
